Battery holder with lead for the MAKInterface

The Battery holder is for 4 Batteries 1.2V NiCd/NiMh (1.5V alkaline) and gives a power supply between 4.8V and 6V.

The Makinterface is taking the power from the RS232 port. This is Software dependable and in rare cases it is theoretical possible that the software set the lines false and the Interface loses the power.

The Makinterface is in most cases also supplying the devices it is programming, like a MagneticStripeCard Reader, SmartCards, PICs, EEPROMs if some of these device needs more power then the RS232 can deliver, a external power supply is needed.
